Pixelians is a continuing pixel art project originated in 2003. It features a collection of characters portrayed in an unique pixelated style, inspired by the retro tone of old video games.

The characters of Pixelians come from everywhere, like movies, video games, comics, fictions, brands, history and pop culture, etc.

In 2007, after four years of creative experiment, the original project was discontinued. Following that, Pixelians is redesigned and relaunched as the current beta version, introducing a new vivid style.

I am Purlin Beam, a visual designer who loves pixel art. I do Pixelians for fun in spare time.

Based in Hong Kong, I have been collaborating with renowned companies and organizations to create a variety of visual designs. Being a child at heart constitutes a prominent theme in my creative works.
